Position Overview

The Regional Growth Leader is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities that align with the company’s strategic priorities in environmental consulting, sustainable, infrastructure, and geophysical services. This role drives client acquisition, fosters strategic partnerships, and expands the company’s market presence across public and private sectors. The Regional Growth Leader works closely with executive leadership, operational teams, and technical experts to build relationships, shape pursuits, and support long-term growth initiatives.

Responsibilities

● Lead strategic business development efforts across key markets, including environmental engineering, geotechnical services, construction support, and infrastructure consulting.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through direct outreach, meetings, and ongoing engagement.
● Develop and execute client pursuit plans that align with company capabilities, growth objectives, and
market trends.
● Collaborate with regional and technical leaders to develop account strategies and influence the development of tailored solutions for prospective clients

● Present and promote company products and engineering services, tailoring solutions to meet client needs throughout the sales cycle.
● Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and professional organizations to
enhance brand visibility and build relationships
● Lead or support pre-positioning efforts, including opportunity tracking, team-building, and proposal
strategy in coordination with marketing and proposal teams
● Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using the company’s CRM system and regularly
report on pursuit status and revenue forecasts
● Support contract negotiations, teaming agreements, and pricing strategy for key pursuits
● Gather market intelligence and client feedback to inform strategic planning, service offerings, and
competitive positioning
● Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless handoff from pursuit to project delivery.
● Mentor and coach Account Executive staff or regional contributors as needed.

● Perform additional duties as assigned to support company initiatives.

Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent
advanced degree preferred.
● 10+ years of progressive business development experience, sales, or growth leadership roles, ideally within engineering, construction, or industrial services.
● Proven track record of building client relationships and securing contracts with public agencies, private sector clients, or utility/infrastructure owners.
● Deep understanding of the sales cycle for professional services, including pre-positioning, capture planning, and proposal development
● Strong networking, communication, and negotiation skills.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
● Experience with CRM platforms and business development reporting tools
● Ability to travel regularly to client sites, industry events, and company offices across the region or country.

Travel Requirements

● This position requires occasional travel, approximately 10% to 20% of the time, to support business
objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on
project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may
be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and
use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring flexibility to work effectively from both a
    professional office and work site setting.
  • On-Site Office Requirements:
    • Work is performed at a desk for extended periods using a computer, phone, and standard office
      equipment in a climate-controlled office environment.
    • Regular in-person communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is required.
    • Physical demands may include sitting for long durations, occasional standing, walking, bending,
      and lifting of materials up to 15 pounds.
  • Field Environment:
    • Work at outdoor sites including wetlands, forests, grasslands, construction zones, and
      undeveloped land.
    • Travel on foot across uneven, rugged, or obstructed terrain, sometimes in areas inaccessible by
      vehicle.
    • Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, humidity, rain, or sun.
    • Possible presence of insects, animals, or natural and man-made hazards in field environments.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and carry between 35–75 lbs. of equipment or samples over distances up to 75 feet.
    • Ability to stand, walk, drive, and operate lab and field equipment for extended periods.
    • Ability to bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and balance as needed during both lab and
      fieldwork.
    • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats in varied environments,
      often while wearing PPE.
    • Ability to use sensory capabilities to see (including close and distant vision, color perception,
      depth perception, and focus) and smell for observation and safety purposes
