Position Overview

The Business Development Coordinator will provide direct support to the Business Development team, focusing on CRM management, inside sales, and business development coordination. This role is designed to strengthen client engagement, streamline BD efforts, and ensure the team has the tools, data, and support needed to win new work and grow existing relationships. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

Business Development Support

  • Manage and maintain the region’s CRM system, ensuring client and prospect data is accurate, current, and effectively leveraged for Business Development initiatives.
  • Support Business Development in identifying, tracking, and pursuing business opportunities.
  • Support BD efforts with internal reports, pipeline tracking, and scheduling client follow-ups.

 

Sales & Marketing Coordination

  • Assist with inside sales activities, including outreach, follow-up communications, and coordination with prospective clients.
  • Support preparation and coordination of trade shows, client events, and networking opportunities.

 

Administrative & Team Support

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Business Development team.
  • Track client feedback and engagement metrics.
  • Coordinate and prepare agendas, materials, and minutes for Business Development team meetings.
  • Maintain organized files, templates, and resources for Business Development use.
  • Ensure CRM system is updated weekly

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience in business development, marketing, sales support, or a related role; AEC industry experience a plus.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Deltek/CRM or similar) to maintain accurate records, input project notes and client data, and support communication.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; design software (Adobe, InDesign, Canva) a plus.

Travel Requirements

● This position does not require regular travel as part of its primary responsibilities. However, occasional travel
may be required, up to 10%, primarily for occasional off-site meetings, training sessions, or company events.
Travel, when necessary, will be communicated in advance and aligned with business needs.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

 

• This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
• The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
• The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
