Overview

UES is seeking an experienced Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) Project Manager to oversee asbestos-related projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental consulting, project management, and hazardous materials assessment, with expertise in asbestos regulations and remediation strategies. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee asbestos inspection, testing, and abatement projects from initiation to completion. 
  • Conduct site assessments, surveys, and sampling to determine the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local asbestos regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and NESHAP guidelines. 
  • Develop and implement project plans, including scopes of work, timelines, and budgets. 
  • Prepare technical reports, remediation plans, and regulatory documentation. 
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success. 
  • Provide training and guidance on asbestos safety, regulations, and best practices. 
  • Perform quality control reviews and risk assessments to ensure adherence to safety and environmental protocols. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (preferred). 
  • Licensed Asbestos Inspector, Management Planner, or Project Designer (as required by state regulations). 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in asbestos assessment, project management, or environmental consulting. 
  • In-depth knowledge of asbestos regulations (EPA, OSHA, NESHAP, AHERA, and state-specific laws). 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Experience preparing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) (preferred). 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work in various field conditions and travel as needed for project sites.
