Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager for the Texas Region. This individual will serve as an integral partner in campus recruiting activities, building positive candidate relationships, and providing candidates with an exceptional first impression of UES, Texas Region. This role will operate in a high-performing, fast-paced setting, responsible for recruiting all positions from interns to executive staff.  In addition to recruiting for roles ranging from interns to executive staff, this position will take ownership of our internship program — leading its development, coordination, and promotion across the region. Responsibilities

  • Partner cross-functionally to create relationships with hiring managers
  • Own the planning, coordination, and delivery of the Summer Internship Program across Texas, including onboarding, engagement events, rotation schedules, and end-of-program evaluations
  • Create energy and excitement around the program through branding, storytelling, and candidate engagement with the goal of building a strong pipeline of future hires
  • Coordinate, attend, and/or host campus recruiting events (career fairs, presentations, interview days, etc.)
  • Research and report on different University programs as well as market, maintain and establish our brand on campus
  • Conduct intake meetings to gain position and ideal candidate alignment
  • Locate qualified, potential applicants using databases, online job posting boards, and career fairs
  • Efficiently review resumes, identifying the most qualified candidates to move forward in the evaluation process
  • Perform initial outreach to candidates to gain their interest in job opportunities
  • Provide detailed, accurate interview notes along with hiring recommendations to hiring managers
  • Communicate progress and coordinate changes with hiring managers and candidates
  • Manage candidates and workload through the ICIMS applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Sets appointments, makes travel arrangements (if necessary) for candidates, conducts interviews with prospective candidates; schedules follow-up interviews as needed
  • Assists managers in responding with meaningful feedback to internal candidates not selected
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recruiting and sourcing experience preferred
  • Campus career services experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with ICIMS, Handshake, and sourcing on various platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships
  • Ability to travel (approximately 25% annually)

Physical Demands & Work Environment

 

• This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
• The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
• The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
• The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
