Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to establish and grow the geophysical department.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within energy, environmental, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and industry partners to drive business expansion.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
  • Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and pricing strategies for geophysical projects.
  • Collaborate with marketing and executive leadership to position the company as a leader in geophysical services.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and interpretation of geophysical surveys using seismic, gravity, magnetic, electrical, and electromagnetic methods.
  • Guide the selection, deployment, and maintenance of cutting-edge geophysical equipment and software.
  • Provide technical leadership for geophysical investigations related to natural resource exploration, environmental assessments, and infrastructure development.
  • Ensure quality control in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation.
  • Lead research and innovation efforts to incorporate advanced geophysical techniques and emerging technologies.
  • Build and manage a high-performing geophysical team, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
  • Coordinate field operations and supervise technical personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for geophysical data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in geophysical investigations, with a focus on business development or client management.
  • Strong knowledge of geophysical survey techniques, data acquisition, and interpretation.
  • Proven track record of securing and managing geophysical projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with geophysical software and data processing tools.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, field projects, and industry events
