Overview

We are seeking a motivated and client-oriented Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on geotechnical-related projects with an emphasis on analysis, preparation of comprehensive geotechnical reports, and direct client communication. The successful candidate will manage projects from start to finish, ensuring seamless execution, high-quality deliverables, and exceptional client service.

Pavement Design and Analysis
Settlement Analysis
Slope Stability Analysis
Karst Explorations
Construction Site and Expansive Soils Evaluations
Special Inspections and Construction Materials Testing (CMT)
 
Please note that the duties below may vary based on the changing needs of the company. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical field explorations and oversee laboratory testing.
  • Analyze and interpret field and laboratory data to provide sound geotechnical recommendations.
  • Prepare and review detailed geotechnical reports for commercial, industrial, retail, government, and residential projects.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout project lifecycles, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Manage geotechnical projects, including proposal development, project execution, and report delivery.
  • Coordinate field activities with drill crews, including scheduling and sampling logistics.
  • Conduct field work as necessary to ensure accurate data collection and quality control.
  • Utilize engineering software (e.g., gINT, DARWin, SLOPE/W, VOLFLO, gSTABL, SLIDE, Microsoft Excel) for analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (required); Master’s in Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Tennesee or Arkansas (required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in industry-standard geotechnical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Additional: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
