Responsibilities

  • Perform geotechnical engineering evaluations and analysis, including deep foundations, slope stability, and settlement assessments.
  • Operate independently on routine assignments while managing small teams.
  • Travel to various job sites in a company-provided vehicle to oversee fieldwork.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to staff professionals for the collection of field data.
  • Mentor and develop junior geotechnical staff to enhance team expertise.
  • Review and interpret field samples for geotechnical analysis and reporting.
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop and manage client projects, ensuring strong relationships and high-quality service.
  • Create and update project proposals and reports to maintain project accuracy and scope.
  • Review, update, and approve invoices weekly for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support geotechnical operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering (required); Master’s in Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Arkansas. (Ability to obtain within 1 year of employment)
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in industry-standard geotechnical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Additional: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
