High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training, associate degree, or coursework in construction, engineering, geology, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of field-based experience in materials testing, construction inspection, geotechnical fieldwork, or a related industry.
Industry certifications such as ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing preferred or ability to obtain within a specified time period.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; ability to safely operate and maintain company vehicles.
Demonstrated commitment to safety with knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry best practices, and company safety policies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Field Data Collection (FDC) software or similar industry tools.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, technical documents, construction specifications, and safety manuals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot field issues and recommend solutions effectively.
Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in fieldwork, reporting, and inspections.
Attention to detail to ensure precise sample collection, testing procedures, and documentation accuracy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
Proven ability to mentor, coach, and train junior team members, sharing expertise and best practices to enhance team efficiency and performance.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Flexibility to work variable schedules, including early mornings, weekends, overtime, and overnight travel as required by project demands.
